How much water kefir should I drink?
Water kefir is a milder drink than say kombucha and so can be drank daily and usually, as much as you like. However, when first starting out with probiotic foods and beverages the amount you can take will vary depending on your current gut health and the probiotic food itself.
You might want to start off with 4-6 oz of water kefir a day for a couple days and see how your body responds. If you drink too much at the start you may have some loose stools, that’s normal but also a sign to decrease the amount you are drinking.
Once the gut fills up with the good bacteria you will be able to drink more. Soon you will be able to drink as much as you like, always using your body as your gauge.
